In recent months, there has been a lot of talk about slow productivity, which contrasts with the cram-as-much-work-as-possible-into-each-day mentality. Digital minimalism has been a hot topic, but Cal argues against deleting social media without intention.

This episode of Abstract is about Tinker Hatfield, an absolute legend, the designer behind the Jordan brand. I’ve always dreamed of designing shoes, so spending an hour learning from the man who 'saved Nike' with the Jordan 3 was a treat. From sketches to meetings, materials to launch events, you get a glimpse into the entire creative process behind bringing a shoe to market.

Apple released the cinema display back in 1999. That monitor changed the game, and the build quality was so good that it lasted over a decade for some people. In December of 2019, they released the Pro Display XDR, which was an incredible device, but way out of my price range. They recently launched a new Studio Display, which checks all the boxes for what I need. Apple's return to stand-alone monitors makes me happy, and despite early complaints, this is definitely going to be a staple for anyone looking for a reasonably priced monitor that will last for many years.

One of my first NFT collections will contain 50-100 original digital paintings. My first piece is below; the collection will have some similarities, but my main focus is on creating variations in color, size, layout, and other unique attributes that I'm still working on. In addition to my digital paintings, I'm also working on another collection with a new entity (stay tuned!) that will be dropping soon. This particular one involves generative art, color, and different methods of movement. I can't wait to release both of these 😎
