I was digging through some old notes this week while doing research for Sunflower, and I came across a piece from the Browser Company, something they put out back in 2022. It’s their values. Still hits just as well now as it did then.

If I could guarantee a safe landing, this is something I’d love to do (also: I’m skipping that 9 hour hike up there).

Chef’s Table is back!
From Me 🎒
Lately, I’ve been circling around this idea I’ve noticed over years of just doing the work. It’s that little magical feeling of showing up. Not in some grand way. Just… in the small, repeatable things.
Opening a blank page. Making a quick sketch, even if it leads nowhere. Taking a walk, not for inspiration, but because the air outside feels different than the air inside. Just returning to the space where the work happens, even if the work doesn’t.
There was a time when I thought you had to feel it first. That you needed energy or clarity before I could make anything good. But the longer I’ve done this, the more I think it’s the act of returning that brings the quality and clarity. That maybe persistence itself is a kind of vision.
You don’t have to feel ready. You don’t have to know what you’re doing. You just have to keep showing up. Even if it’s awkward. Even if nothing happens. Even if you’re a little lost. Especially if you’re a little lost.
That part never really goes away.
Have a great week!
