Watch 🏎
This past weekend I started watching Formula 1: Drive To Survive. I've never watched a race, and I always dismissed it as something I didn't understand and probably wouldn't like. Well, I'm on season 2, and I think I'm in love with F1. Netflix does a fantastic job inviting you behind the scenes, and the intensity is palpable. The sport is not just about the athlete and the team. If you don't have a good car, you're not winning. But the 'midfield,' as they say, is just as fun to try and 'win' given your budget, sponsors, and expectations.
Humans 💪
I got all misty watching this. Big shoutout to the woman that alerted everyone else to help, and by doing so, saved someone’s life. There is hope for humanity.

Design 🎨
I spend most of my days working in Figma. It’s been my design tool for years now, and I can’t imagine using anything else. They’ve done incredible at building a community around a design tool while empowering others to build with them (the plugins and community files enrich the entire platform). Each year they hold a conference and announce their new features. Below are the updates — I’ve had a blast re-learning auto layout, and yay for dark mode!

From Me 🎒
This past weekend I finally got a chance to see the Van Gogh Immersive Experience. It was worth it and I’d definitely recommend checking it out. This quote appeared at the very end of the exhibit. After thinking about it some more, it was a nice reminder to inject more courage into my life experiences and my work. Over a hundred plus years later, his art and words still inspire.
