Moonlights #20

Matter is in my bag of favorite new apps for the year. It's the easiest way to save articles or newsletters to an inbox. A better way to read later. But it's more than just that. You can also tap play to hear your articles read to you. It sounds (almost) like an actual human is reading to you. They've also added a way to discover new content. Think of the top shelf stuff, not all the noise. Each week they hand pick 5-10 articles after sifting through hundreds and thousands of written content around the web. So far, they haven't missed 🎯
Recently, they wrote a blog post (one of my favorite product updates I've seen in a while) on why they were removing features. This action allows them to focus on what's working and double down on the quality while freeing up more time to explore more significant ideas. But by moving fast and cutting things that don't work, you foster a greater sense of exploration, pushing to find ways to create more value. I'd love to see more product teams adopt this philosophy. Less is more people!
Their iOS app is 💯

Have you ever heard of bionic reading? I hadn’t either, until this past week I came across the image below. Although it looks a little unclear, focusing on specific letters helps you process and read faster. Pretty neat trick on your brain 🪄
NFTs 🧢
A few months ago, I wrote about how pumped I was for the Invisible Friends drop. Recently they’ve made a few new announcements for their upcoming roadmap in 2022. I’m stoked for their partnership with Kith, one of the top lifestyle brands in the world. Kith has always pushed the boundaries in fashion and retail, and it’s super cool to see them enter the web3 space. Their current NFT collection is 5k animated characters (see below). The future partnership allows owners of Invisible Friends to get a digital set of clothes (updated throughout the year) and get exclusive drops to the apparel IRL. You can read more about the partnership here.
From Me 🎒
I’ve been working on a personal NFT collection for a while now. While I don't have all the details figured out yet, I just finished the piece below. It's time to tuck it away and start on the next one. I hope you like it 🙌
