Hello and welcome back to Moonlights.
I hope you all had a great week. I’m excited to bring you edition number two!
Let's dive in ⬇️
Listen 🎧
There’s no better way to remind yourself how old you are than watching all eight Harry Potter films. I can’t stop listening to a song that I found in the 7th movie from this scene. The scene is excellent, but the song by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds makes it even better. Come onnn, be a kid again and tell me this doesn’t hit you hard. The reunion recently aired on HBO and I had no idea it had been 20 years since the books were released 🤯

Web 3, crypto, and NFTs are relatively new terms, but why is it all so confusing? As the industry evolves, some brilliant people have taken the time to write the explanations so the rest of us can understand. If you’re just getting started or want to brush up on your terms, look no further than the guide below.

Tracksmith is a small and thoughtful brand providing high-quality apparel for runners. I love how focused they are. Outside of their sweet clothing, they make deeply inspiring videos. Malcolm Gladwell narrates this one below.
Try 🧘♂️
For the past few years, I’ve been dabbling in the aperitif and digestif world (drinks before or after a meal). I think my first experience was a fernet, and there was something about the medicinal taste that I enjoyed, plus how it seemed to help with digestion after a big meal. I recently came across this Marseille Amaro from Forthave Spirits that I swear by. It is so soooo good. The RED - Apertivo is solid as well, but it’s on the sweeter side. The founders specifically mention their use of organic botanicals, and they make everything in small batches in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Check out this story if you need another reason to try them out.
The Marseille amaro is based on the secret recipe of four medieval thieves who were caught stealing from plague victims in Marseille and set free when they gave up their recipe. You'll find enticing aromas of cinnamon and clove, while on the palate they're joined with Eucalyptus, vanilla, and anise. The addition of honey lends a soft sweetness in just the right amount to balance out the bitterness.
From Me 🎒
Last week I shared one of the upcoming NFT collections that I’m most excited about (Invisible Friends). This past week I started painting one of the NFTs that I own (see below) from the CryptoMories collection. You can see the original here. If you’re interested in getting into NFTs, this is one of my favorite PFP collections. Great community, the art is fun, and it has all the good vibes.
Thanks for stopping by. See you next week.
