Brendon Babenzien, former Supreme creative director and co-founder of Noah, has been named creative director of J. Crew's struggling business. I recall when J.Crew seemed to be the only choice for dressing up without seeming like you tried too hard. There are numerous options now, yet the J Crew brand endures. Brendon is a king, and I'm confident he'll use every trick he's mastered over the years to rekindle a dormant brand.

Apple released a range of new Watch OS9 (Public Beta) upgrades, and they've made a significant difference in my daily routine over the last few weeks. The heart rate zones are a huge upgrade—while I'm working out—I can instantly identify which zone I'm in. Another great improvement is customizing your workout on the watch, setting a warm up, repeat intervals, recovery times, and more. Finally, one of my favorite things to do is tap the workout I did the previous day and try to beat it. During the workout, the fitness app notifies you whether you’re behind, on track, or ahead of your previous time or metrics. It’s pretty amazing that all of that is happening right on your wrist. We’ve come along way since the FuelBand, one of my all time favorite products.

Rtfkt, a web3-focused product company and Nike's most recent acquisition, has released its first augmented reality product. You will not only own a real hoodie, but you will also be able to personalize that hoodie using AR/VR tech, in addition to receiving a few other benefits. A good deal of this may not carry a great deal of weight right now, but in the years to come, it will. Nike has given everyone a clear indication of the direction in which they are moving, and I can't wait to see what Rtfkt comes up with next.

From Me 🎒
Happy Friday - I hope you all had a great week. Being optimistic and hopeful feels increasingly harder these days, but I love a good reminder to stay the course. This was one of my favorite quotes that I saw this week.
"To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness.
What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.
And if we do act, in however small a way, we don't have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory."
