Recently, I finished Build, by Tony Fadell — an unorthodox guide to making things worth making. Tony invented the iPod, was a part of the iPhone team, and founded Nest. He has a vast list of accomplishments, but he also imparts lessons learned from his many failures. This book reminded me of Shoedog, with similar stories of struggle and triumph, plus some takeaways that have stuck with me. Nothing like another overnight success story!

I’ve always wondered what it’s like to be a celebrity. How do people cope with their lives on display 24/7? We expect perfection, and we celebrate failures. We so quickly find evidence to destroy someone else’s opinion before listening. I’m happy that my entire life is not on display for the vultures to go after. When you pay attention to anyone with status, you realize just how many people want them to fail or want them to get canceled.Â
I’m a huge Packers and Aaron Rodgers fan. If you know me, you know my love for the Cheeseheads. Number 12 has been through much scrutiny from the media over the years — about football, his vaccine status, family issues, his relationships, and the list goes on. Watching one of your favorite players get dragged through the mud all year is tough.
I was excited to listen to a recent interview with Aubrey Marcus (intro video here), where Rodgers got to talk about his emotions and experience. He also told stories about his successes and failures and even went into his experience with psychedelics and how they helped him clear out the noise while practicing acceptance and self-love.Â

Virtual fashion continues to grow, and players like Nike, Gucci, Adidas, and plenty more have already made an imprint. I don’t think all this takes off overnight, but we’ll better understand how successful some of the early movers were a few years from now. Despite all the haters, I’m stoked to see the continued innovation.
From Me 🎒
Looking back at some older posts, I came across one of the goals I set → spend less time consuming and more time creating. So far, we're doing good, fam 🙌 I've been using some of the fullscreen focus modes that Apple released in the iO16 beta (see screenshot) below. This particular one is my work mode. I removed every app, minus mymind, Craft, Calendar, and Reminders. All notifications are disabled, and only emergency calls come through. This works great, and I'd recommend making different home screens to take advantage of this. My personal favorite is as soon as I open Figma, my work focus mode kicks in. Bonus, focus modes work across all your devices (watch, phone, iPad, laptop, etc.)Â
Hope you all have a great week!
