Moonlights #35
Look 🖥
I spend a lot of time at my desk, and one of the things I use the most is a large sketchpad that doubles as my mouse pad. There are pens, highlighters, and post-it notes within reaching distance. That's been my work-from-home setup for many years. Maybe that changes at some point? This desk brings so many of those use cases into a digital format. It's a huge table that also functions as a digital canvas, complete with apps, a sketchpad, and the ability to charge all your gadgets by placing them on the surface. 😎

I recently started a new branding project which means time to research and plan. One of my favorite things to do is browse through type foundries looking for font inspiration. Recently I came across this super helpful list that provides links to a ton of foundries. Here are some of my favorites → This one, this one, and this one, ok this one as well.
Quote 💬
Science fiction author Ursula K. Le Guin discusses how art opens our eyes, ears, and souls to the real world:
"The daily routine of most adults is so heavy and artificial that we are closed off to much of the world. We have to do this in order to get our work done. I think one purpose of art is to get us out of those routines.
When we hear music or poetry or stories, the world opens up again. We’re drawn in — or out — and the windows of our perception are cleansed, as William Blake said. The same thing can happen when we’re around young children or adults who have unlearned those habits of shutting the world out."
From Me 🎒
I was back in my bag this week and spent most of my time working on a few fun projects that I’m excited to share soon. I’ve been taking a lot of screenshots for inspiration and when I was scrolling through my camera roll I came across this picture that I loved. You can find these basalt columns on the Reynisfjara beach (known as the black sand beach). The scale was enormous — and seeing the black sand next to these natural beatuies was ótrúlegt.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
