Moonlights #85
Pentagram + Titletown, Snowfro is back, more Chris Luno music, and an update from Portugal.
Design 🏈
I’m working on two new brand projects right now, and as I was going through some research, I stumbled upon some work from one of my favorite agencies for one of my favorite teams. I had no idea Pentagram did the branding work for Titletown in Green Bay.

Erick Calderon, better known as Snowfro, the mastermind behind the Chromie Squiggle, is back at it again. His new project, in collaboration with Jordan Lyall, is called Heart + Craft. He's consistently pushing blockchain boundaries while simplifying the entry for newcomers. This is his third major project, and I'm stoked to add one to my collection. On August 24th, you can mint a unique piece of art at a really cheap price. Plus, you'll receive instructions to 3D print the artwork, creating a tangible version (see below). It's a fusion of the digital and the physical. Here are some glimpses of what's coming up.

Quote 💬
In the heart of my creative process, I often chat with... well, myself (and sometimes, Alexa). With time, I've become a pro at sidelining the 'whys' and just diving into the 'let’s just create'. I design as much as I can, then let it breathe and go back to cherry-pick the gems. Less noise and less reasoning. This past week I stumbled on a Ray Bradbury quote — the timing was perfect. You can check out the video here.
“The intellect is a great danger to creativity… You begin to rationalize and make up reasons for things instead of staying with your own basic truth: Who you are, what you are, what you want to be. I've had a sign over my typewriter for 25 years now which reads, 'don't think.'”
— Ray Bradbury
From Me 🎒
We’ve been in the beautiful Cascais area of Portugal for the last week, and I’m absolutely loving it here. The weather is perfect, the seafood is as good as it gets, and the overall vibe feels so right. Just a few hundred yards away from our place is a radio station combined with a cafe called Lusophonica. You can hang out on their terrace, listen to artists perform live in the booth (they live stream these), and enjoy an espresso. It's a little hug for your soul.
Also, a big shoutout to our favorite restaurant so far, Marisco na praça. You pick your seafood fresh from the raw bar, tell them your cooking preference or let them pick, and as you wait, you can watch the sun setting behind the boats in the marina 😍
That’s it for this week. I hope you all have a great weekend. If you’ve enjoyed Moonlights or think someone you know may like it, send it their way (I’ve had a nice bump in how many people are reading this, so much appreciated for whoever is sharing it with the world). 🙌 🙌 🙌
